Green Cleansing Smoothie

This green cleansing smoothie has only 3 main ingredients and it’s my low-fuss go-to recipe when I need a hydrating and cleansing pick me up. You can always get fancy and add in kale, ginger, honey, or anything else you’d like. But if you’re just looking for something fast, healthy, and clean you’ve come to the right place.

I made it the other day when I was feeling a bit dehydrated. I went from feeling lackluster and sluggish to zooming around the house like a busy bee. It’s amazing how responsive our bodies are to fresh revitalizing healthy food.

Anytime I add lemon to my smoothies I make sure I have a good counter balance of sweet in the shape of apples or pineapple.

It helps sooth the tart taste of lemon and gives it the perfect harmonious crispness with out having you make a sour-puckered face! A montage of babies tasting lemons for the first time comes to mind. I’ll pass!

Green Cleansing Smoothie with Bee Pollen

I’ve never been able to do straight up veggie smoothies. I always need to add in low glycemic fruit for the perfect amount of sweetness and lately I’ve also been adding bee pollen because I hear it’s supposed to help with seasonal allergies. Haven’t seen staggering results yet. Perhaps it takes time. I’ve only been consistently taking it for 3 weeks.

This green smoothie recipe is:

  • Crisp
  • Refreshing
  • Hydrating
  • Lightly sweetened
  • Packed with greens
  • Detoxing
  • Anti-bloating

Let’s dive in shall we?
